BOC Launches a New Look to Support a Bold Vision

The Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer is excited to announce the launch of a new brand and updated website. This bold, innovative brand defines a vision of both what the BOC represents as an organization and what Athletic Trainers (ATs) represent to the public and as health care professionals.

“Athletic training as a profession is on the rise – evolving and growing within an already wide variety of practice settings. Our mission at the BOC is to strive for excellence in all we do to advance athletic training as a profession and for our credential holders. The BOC’s new brand will help promote the strength and the value these highly qualified practitioners bring to health care teams,” said Patrick Sexton EdD, LAT, ATC, president, BOC Board of Directors.

The BOC, along with the support and foundational work of our Strategic Alliance partner, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, is focused on increasing the perceived value of ATs and the ATC® credential and building value around specialty credentials, such as its orthopedic specialty, which is launching soon. A large part of our efforts going forward will be to increase visibility of ATs among potential employers and an understanding of the value that ATs provide.
