Why does your organization choose to participate in the BOC Approved Provider Program?
Cincinnati SportsMedicine and Orthopaedic Center and Cincinnati SportsMedicine Research and Education Foundation has a long-standing history of educating the orthopaedic community. Cincinnati SportsMedicine has always embraced a physician-physical therapist-AT team approach in the treatment of orthopaedic and sports medicine patients. As a leading authority in the sports medicine community, we feel it is important to participate in the BOC Approved Provider Program to offer top notch educational opportunities to the athletic training community.
How have the BOC standards and guidelines for BOC Approved Providers impacted your program development and administrative processes to offer continuing education programs for ATs?
The BOC holds educational providers to a high standard. We keep these high standards at the forefront when planning and implementing educational activities for our ATs.
How do you design your curriculum to help participants improve outcomes in the patients they serve?
Our physicians have a long tradition of collecting and reporting on patient outcomes. Our educational conferences are evidence based and focus on patient care and improving patient outcomes.
What advice do you have for organizations looking to be on the cutting edge and maintain compliance, as they develop education programs?
Follow the guidelines set forth by the BOC for BOC Approved Providers! Organizations should also focus on evidence-based research as the basis for any program.
