Preparing the next generation of Athletic Trainers (ATs) has always required educators to look ahead. As the athletic training profession continues to evolve, the BOC remains committed to ensuring that continuing certification supports meaningful professional growth throughout an AT’s career.

Continuing Professional Certification (CPC) Renewal – powered by Pathfinder is the renewal path for all individuals who earn BOC certification in 2026 or later. Designed by ATs, for ATs, CPC Renewal represents an important evolution in how we support lifelong learning, professional growth and continued competence across the profession.

To help your students become familiar with CPC Renewal requirements, we have created educational resources. These tools include:

• An overview presentation with speaker notes/script, learning objectives and presentation guidance for educators, designed to introduce students to CPC Renewal – powered by Pathfinder and the specific recertification requirements for those who certify in 2026.
• A supplemental FAQ presentation addressing common questions about CPC Renewal and the Pathfinder platform.
