Credentialing Operations Associate
Summary
Primarily responsible for providing high-level customer service to BOC stakeholders and supporting activities of the credentialing program which includes, but is not limited to, the daily operations of exam administration, certification verifications, recertification, and Approved Provider operations.
Job Duties
Support the daily operations of the department by processing the following:
- Exam administration items – exam applications, registrations, scheduling/rescheduling, exam results, payments, and required documents (i.e., emergency cardiac care certification, official transcripts), meeting coordination
- Recertification items – continuing education reports, resignation requests, reinstatement requests, fee submissions, audit submissions
- Certification verifications
- Approved Provider items – annual reports and initial applications as needed
- Other operations of the department as needed
Answer inquiries (telephone, email, system queue) from BOC stakeholders related to credentialing, and Approved Provider operations
Performs other administrative duties as needed: including, filing, mail processing, scanning, etc.
Remote (Hybrid) Work Available
The Credentialing Operations Associate is a hybrid position – each week the associate will work some days on-site at our downtown Omaha office and may choose to work other days remotely. In-office requirements may vary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organization skills with attention to detail skills
- Strong verbal – particularly telephone – communication skills
- Strong rapport-building skills
- Knowledge of credentialing or healthcare preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Complete Fundamental Topics in Certification (institute of Credentialing Excellence) program within 12 months of hire
Experience
- 2-3 years customer service experience
- Credentialing experience preferred
- 1-2 years administrative experience in a health care related field preferred
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 4-year college degree preferred
