Marketing Specialist – Email and Website
Summary

The Marketing Specialist – Email and Website is responsible for planning and coordination of activities related to BOC email development and related list management, as well as website updates/revisions. This Specialist will design email templates as well as uses existing templates, complete quality assurance and deployment of emails. In addition, the specialist coordinates with the IT department to maintain accuracy and aesthetic of the BOC website.

Job Duties

Email Development

  • Develops content, designs and implements emails on varying topics to multiple audiences, coordinating recipient list process with the technology team and other staff
  • Tracks and analyzes email metrics, as well as provides reports to inform planning and recommend new opportunities
  • Develops and implements quality control processes, and maintains accuracy within the email distribution process
  • Researches and develops innovations in email design

Website Updates

  • Completes website updates
  • Collaborates with staff to complete website updates, while maintaining the design integrity of the website
  • Completes a website audit, at least annually, reviewing each website page for potential edits/changes

Marketing Projects

  • Serves as lead support for department project management software – set up timelines for projects and implementation tracking
  • Coordinates BOC Change Form process with requesting staff and IT
  • Plans and coordinates BOC’s representation at events, as needed, including conventions, conferences and other in-person and virtual events
  • Supports content development
Remote (Hybrid) Work Available

At the BOC, work is not a place. The BOC takes a “work where you need to” approach when it comes to remote work. While the majority of the work for the Marketing Specialist position can be completed remotely, some meetings or work activities require on-site visibility at our downtown Omaha office.

  • Proficiency in HTML for email design as well as using email distribution platforms

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Gammadyne and WordPress
  • Experience with project management software platforms
  • Ability to produce professional work product with minimal errors
Experience

1-3 years’ experience using HTML and/or 1-3 years website design or administration experience

Education

4-year college degree
