State Telehealth Policy Landscape Post-Pandemic Webinar – BOC CARE Educational Series
As part of the BOC CARE EDUCATIONAL SERIES a webinar event was held June 9, 2021 which explored telehealth policy as we move forward from COVID-19.
The webinar, The State Telehealth Policy Landscape Post-Pandemic, was presented by Jack Pitsor, a research analyst for the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) specializing in health care access, costs and coverage policy. Jack provides in-depth policy research and technical assistance to state legislators and legislative staff relating to innovative health policy solutions. His policy portfolio includes state responses to COVID-19, private health insurance regulation and affordability, rural health, health facility oversight and regulation, health care cost containment and telehealth.
The presentation provided an overview of what telehealth entails, as well as a view of state and federal actions related to the future of telehealth and how it could impact the athletic training profession.In addition, the event featured stories from four Athletic Trainers adapting to the pandemic using telehealth.

- Out-of-state provider licensing issues related to telehealth
- Telehealth payer policies to help regulators answer related practice act questions
