BOC Approved Provider Toolkit Supports Development of High-Quality CE Activities
The BOC has launched a new BOC Approved Provider Toolkit, a collection of ready-to-use tools, resources and templates to guide providers in developing, implementing and administering high-quality continuing education (CE) programs for Athletic Trainers (ATs).
Developed as part of the BOC’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Roadmap, the toolkit reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the BOC Approved Provider network. The resources are intended not only to support program development but also to promote continuous improvement and help providers deliver impactful learning opportunities that support certified ATs throughout their careers.
The BOC Approved Provider Toolkit, housed on the BOC website, brings together essential requirements, operational templates, practical tools and reference materials to help maintain compliance, implement sound program operations and enhance the quality of CE offerings.
Key components of the toolkit include:

Program Operations – Ready-to-use administrative resources, including a new customizable Operations Manual template to help providers document internal policies and processes, as well as a Joint Providership Agreement template for CE collaborations.
Integrity & Independence Tools – Practical resources supporting the BOC Standards for Integrity & Independence, including a conflict-of-interest (COI) collection template, mitigation documentation tools, record-keeping guidance and sample disclosure language.
Educational Design & Quality – Curated articles and references on effective educational design to help providers strengthen learning outcomes and enhance the quality of CE programming.
Patient Engagement – (Coming soon!) Resources that help CE programs incorporate patient perspectives and reinforce patient-centered care, including guidance on person-first language, patient representation in planning and incorporating patient voice into educational content.
